Every calf crop seems to have one that catches your eye over and over again, and this guy is that calf for me.

I swear every time I walk through the bulls, I find myself stopping to admire him and then looking up his tag number to remember who he is out of. He has that combination of style, presence, balance, and herd bull character that naturally draws your attention.

His dam is BK Horseshoe Belle 932 (“Zora”), Jaxsen’s show heifer, and she has developed into an outstanding young cow. Zora is sired by BK Confidence 543, a son of the legendary Connealy Confidence 0100. Confidence 0100 was the high-selling bull in the 2011 Connealy Angus sale and became one of the breed’s most influential sires due to his rare combination of calving ease, maternal strength, carcass merit, and phenotype.

The sire of this calf is SITZ Eternity 739L, one of the standout bulls from the 2024 Sitz Angus sale. Eternity turned heads with his impressive structure, exceptional feet, eye appeal, and overall balance. Backed by the renowned Sitz donor cow 200B, he offers the maternal strength, performance, and structural correctness that commercial and seedstock producers alike are looking for.

When you stack a cow family like Zora’s behind a sire like Eternity, this is exactly the kind of calf you hope for. He’s long-bodied, attractive, well-balanced, and already showing the herd bull presence that makes you take notice.

Some calves earn your attention because of their pedigree. Others earn it because of the way they carry themselves.

This one does both.

The kind that makes you check his tag twice.

If you’re building cattle for the long haul, it starts with cow families.

BK 242 Load Up 541 is a bull backed by generations of proven maternal genetics, combining some of the most respected calving ease, maternal, and performance bloodlines in the Angus breed.

His dam is a daughter of the legendary Coleman Bravo 6313, one of the most influential breeding bulls in the Angus industry. Bravo was the $450,000 all-time record-selling bull and the featured Lot 1 bull in the 2018 Coleman Angus Ranch Sale. More importantly, he has earned a reputation for producing productive, feminine daughters with beautiful udders, structural correctness, and longevity.

Bravo is out of the renowned Coleman Donna 714, one of the highest income-producing cows in Coleman Angus Ranch history. The Donna cow family has become synonymous with fertility, productivity, and maternal excellence, making Bravo one of the breed’s most trusted female-making sires.

On the top side, 541 is sired by BK Load Up 242, one of our home-raised herd bulls and a bull we are extremely excited about. From the day he was born, 242 stood out for his depth, rib shape, width, and overall eye appeal.

242 is by GDAR Load Up 7104, a proven calving ease sire with more than 400 calves in his proof. Load Up has become known for producing cattle with:

✔ Excellent feet and structure
✔ Moderate, easy-fleshing body type
✔ Strong performance
✔ Productive daughters
✔ Outstanding calving ease

His sons have been very well received by commercial cattlemen, while his daughters continue to impress us with their maternal ability and longevity.

Adding even more strength to the pedigree, 242’s dam, BK Miss Erica 601, is a daughter of the influential Connealy Confidence 0100. Confidence was the high-selling bull of the 2011 Connealy sale and became famous for combining calving ease, carcass merit, maternal value, and phenotype into one package. His daughters have proven themselves time and time again as productive, dependable cows.

When you stack Load Up, Confidence, and Bravo into one pedigree, you get a bull bred to make the kind of cattle that stay in the herd and pay their way.

BK 242 Load Up 541 is moderate, deep-bodied, stout-made, and backed by some of the most productive cow families in our program. He represents the kind of genetics that work in real-world conditions and continue to add value generation after generation.

Maternal power. Calving ease. Proven cow families.

You can buy performance, but great cow families build a herd.

When cattlemen talk about building a cow herd, this is the kind of pedigree they have in mind.

BK Continuity 554 combines generations of proven maternal genetics with the performance, carcass merit, and calving ease that today’s cattle industry demands. He is backed by some of the most influential cow families and maternal sires in our program, making him a bull with tremendous long-term value.

His sire, Sitz Continuity, was one of the high-selling bulls in the Fall 2020 Sitz Angus Sale and quickly gained attention for his ability to combine traits that rarely come together in one package. Continuity was bred for maternal excellence and ranks among the breed leaders for $Maternal ($M) while also offering calving ease, growth, and carcass merit.

Sitz describes Continuity as a rare combination of:

✔ Calving Ease
✔ Performance
✔ Maternal Excellence
✔ Carcass Merit

Those are exactly the traits commercial cattlemen are looking for when selecting genetics that will impact a herd for generations.

BK Horseshoe Emerald 023 sire, BK Direct Deposit 808, is a son of KR Direct Deposit and out of BK Lassie 337. Direct Deposit is a moderate-framed, stylish sire that combines calving ease with impressive performance. He posted an adjusted weaning weight of 862 pounds and topped 1,500 pounds as a yearling while maintaining the kind of phenotype and muscle expression cattlemen appreciate.

What makes BK Continuity 554 exciting is how these genetics complement one another. The maternal excellence of Continuity blends perfectly with a cow family known for productivity, depth, and real-world functionality.

This is the kind of bull that should leave behind productive daughters, efficient sons, and cattle that thrive in practical ranch conditions.

🔥 Maternal strength. Performance. Proven cow families.

Some calves are good from the start. Others are the kind that make you stop and say, “Now that’s a bull.”

BK 7104 Load Up 558 has been one of my favorites since the day he was born. He came into this world with depth, dimension, substance, and a herd bull look that most calves don’t develop until much later. Every time I see him, I’m reminded why he caught my eye from the beginning.

His dam, WCA Wendy 8338, was purchased by Anna from Willow Creek Angus and Gayle Suksdorf at the Evergreen Angus Sale as a show heifer in 2019. Wendy is a daughter of Musgrave Big Sky, one of the breed’s most respected sires for combining performance, maternal ability, and carcass quality.

Big Sky became known for his ability to sire cattle with soundness, hoof quality, muscle, performance, and outstanding marbling genetics. His daughters have developed a reputation as productive, functional cows with excellent maternal instincts and longevity. Wendy has carried on those same qualities and continues to be an outstanding member of our herd.

On the sire side, 558 is by GDAR Load Up 7104, a bull that has had a tremendous impact on our program. We have used Load Up extensively since 2018 and couldn’t be happier with the results.

Load Up consistently sires cattle that are:

✔ Deep-bodied and easy fleshing
✔ Long-made and attractive
✔ Sound and functional
✔ Excellent dispositions
✔ Strong performance with calving ease

BK 7104 Load Up 558 represents everything we strive for in our breeding program: substance, functionality, maternal strength, and eye appeal. He combines the proven performance of Load Up with the maternal excellence of the Big Sky daughters, resulting in a bull that is hard to overlook.

🔥 Depth. Dimension. Maternal power. Herd bull presence.

“The best bulls don’t have to announce themselves—they simply stand out.”
